Week 9 report

Hey, how's it going with everybody? I know Don's doing alright with a 1st rd pick added to his artillery for next year. I didn't know there was going to be a next year, I thought this was Don's swan song. Well, I'm glad to hear that we'll have him in the league for awhile. So this week we had a few transactions, all involving VY, let it fly. The Indonesian Apostles traded rb Clinton Portis to VY, let it fly for a 2009 1st rd pick and 1000 credits(VY waived wr McCareins). VY also traded rb Slaton to the Big Uglies for a 2009 3rd rd pick (Big Uglies waived wr James Hardy). This was also a very sad week in general with the last undefeated team in the league to finally taste defeat ( I know, boo hoo). The player of the week was Bam's Punishers qb McNabb with 45 pts. On to the scores and highlights.

Indonesian Apostles 109
Orange Crush 66

With both owners now at the point where reality is setting in, realizing that "this is not my year", they have both resorted to sandbagging it. If the O.C. keeps these stellar scores up, he might get a chance for Brady again! The IA's were led by qb Rodgers with 37 pts while the O.C. was led by wr Royal with 22 pts.

Iron Man 170
Dragonriders 160

The Dragonriders drop their 2nd in a row after starting the year with 7 straight victories. They were led by qb Ryan with 28 pts while Walter's team needed their backup qb Trent Edwards ( 28 pts) to pull off the upset.

Zach 127
Gridiron Gal 91

Zach caught Laurie on a week she had most of her team hurt or on the bye. He was led by qb P.Manning with 32 pts while the GG's were led by her qb Cutler with 43 pts.

Pats' Pride 141
VY, let it Fly 133

This shows how much separates these 2 at the top of the Alpha Division. Each is now 6-3 and in a dogfight for the playoffs. Cory's team was led by rb tandem of Forte and Adrian Peterson ( 32 and 39 pts) while VY was led by rb Turner with 33 pts.

Bam's Punishers 158
Gruesome Goroos 98

I know you're all shedding a tear for me right now after my 1st loss. Bam's was led by their qb McNabb ( 45 pts) while the Goroos were led by NE offense with 25 pts.

The Big Uglies 166
The Belugas 61

The Big Uglies are now looking like the team to beat in the Omega Division. He has continued to make the necessary moves to compete in this league while all the other owners in his division have virtually stood pat with their team. Joe's team was led by rb Chris Johnson with 37 pts while the Belugas didn't have much at all going on this week. Green Bay's offense led the Belugas with 21 pts. The Belugas were hurt by having both Brees and Tomlinson on the bye.
