Ok great news, summer is officially over. It's like it never really started this year. At least it definitely is starting to feel like football weather out there!! The other moves for week 3 were the Big Uglies picking up rb Derrick Ward and the Bay Area Bombers dropping te Kevin Boss and picking up te Vernon Davis. The player of the week was sometimes cookie commercial actor, sometimes quarterback Peyton Manning with 75 pts.
Land Sharks 256
Smash n Dash 131
I don't know Frank, in a few weeks you might be referred to as Crash n Burn. Land Sharks were led by qb P. Manning with 75 pts with Frank's team being led by N.O. offense with 37 pts.
Gruesome Goroos 133
Bay Area Bombers 126
I think Justin and I were both surprised by this one. When Gore went down after 1 carry, he thought he was finished but my team struggled mightily. The Goroos were led by rb Jones-Drew with 61 pts with the Bombers led by qb Rodgers with 38 pts.
Orange Crush 210
Dragonriders 149
This matchup was close until Sunday night when the Colts disposed of the Cardinals. Dan's team was led by Indy's offense with 41, rb S. Jackson with 40. Mark might be starting to have an eye towards next year after his 3rd straight defeat to start the year. His team was led by Phily's offense with 44 pts.
The Big Uglies 215
Bam's Punishers 153
A matchup of the few Buccaneer fans outside of Tampa!! New recruit qb Flacco and the Giants defense led the Uglies with 46 pts each. Bams struggled without a big effort from Brees this week. His leading performer was wr Desean Jackson with 47 pts.
Pats' Pride 202
Gridiron Gal 76
Not much of a matchup this time. Cory had a solid effort from GB offense scoring 46 with Laurie being led by qb Carson Palmer with 20 points.
The Belugas 138
Iron Man 135
The other really close matchup of the week. At least the Belugas are showing they are consistent scoring 138 for the 2nd week in a row ( this one ended in a win). Bob's team was led by Baltimore's defense with 34 pts. Walter scored high with qb Rivers contributing 37 pts.

Changes for Week 3
I've got a little time now so I will post team transactions now so everyone can keep track of them for this weekend. First of all there was a scoring error, Bam's Punishers actually scored 185 instead of 146 ( I got the email late that he was playing Desean Jackson instead of Antonio Bryant. This however didn't change the outcome of the matchup, Iron Man still came away with the win by 8 points. Bam's Punishers dropped Wash offense, picked up T. B. offense and G.B. defense. He now has a full roster. The Dragonriders picked up wr Johnny Knox, dropped wr Donnie Avery. The Goroos picked up wr Mario Manningham. Smash n Dash dropped rb Lendale White and picked up rb Laurence Maroney. The Big Uglies acquired qb Joe Flacco. I didn't have time on Wednesday so I will now post Week 3's matchups.

Week 2 scores, happenings, and highlights
Hey, what's going on everyone? This week the Dragonriders picked up qb Leftwich and dropped wr Hakeem Nicks. I have also not heard from Mark yet if he wants wr Manningham still, ( I also wanted to pick him up). The top player of the week was my very own pride and joy rb Chris Johnson with an unheard of 112 pts!!!! I don't remember anyone scoring that much in 8 years in this league! But records are made to be broken, there are a few talents in the league who could possibly surpass that total. On to the scores and top performers.
Gridiron Gal 223
Smash n Dash 174
Laurie had a nice well balanced attack this week with rb Marion Barber leading the way with 42 pts. Frank was lead by NO Offense scoring 47 and also a nice 35 pt effort from Cedric Benson.
Gruesome Goroos 286
The Belugas 138
You never know with the NFL, I was worried about this matchup and and I couldn't believe what happened. I was totally shocked by this score ( sorry, Bob). Chris Johnson scored 112 for the Goroos while the Belugas were led by 33 pts from wr Steve Smith ( Car).
Land Sharks 291
Dragonriders 181
Don't be too mad at him Mark, he's only a boy! It normally isn't a good sign when your tight end is your leading scorer, but when your te is Dallas Clark and he scores 61 pts, it's very good news. The Dragonriders were led by rb Ronnie Brown with 45 pts.
Bay Area Bombers 184
Big Uglies 107
This matchup belonged to rb Frank Gore ( 88 points) of the Bay Area Bombers. The Big Uglies were led by NE offense with 19 pts.
Orange Crush 178
Pats' Pride 153
Closest matchup of the week ended with the O.C. being led by wr Andre Johnson with 57 pts. Cory's team was led by qb Warner with 30 pts.
Iron Man 193
Bam's Punishers 146
Walter's team was led by qb Philip Rivers with 67 pts while Joe Behm scored high with qb Brees with 49 points.
Sorry no time, everyone is 1-1 except for O.C. is 2-0, Dragonriders are 0-2.
Gridiron Gal 223
Smash n Dash 174

Week 1 scores and highlights
Hey what's going on everybody? No transactions this week yet but it's early in the year and everyone probably wants to see how their team responds after a few weeks. Top player of the week was Bam's Punishers qb extraordinaire Drew Brees with 78 pts. Now we'll see how everyone started off the year....
Smash n Dash 190
Gruesome Goroos 170
A rematch of last year's championship game produced the same result, Frank's team taking it to me. Smash n Dash was led by New Orlean's offense with 55 pts while the Goroos were led by rb Jones-Drew with 32 pts.
Orange Crush 133
Bay Area Bombers 116
I'm sure Dan was sweating this one out until late last night. Mr. Bundchen scored 56 pts for the O.C., the Bay Area Bombers, putting up a valiant fight to the end were led by rb Thomas (English Muffin) Jones with 39 pts.
Big Uglies 199
Dragonriders 152
The Big Uglies put together a pretty solid team effort this week with 4 positions scoring more than 28 pts ( qb Hasselbeck led with 40 pts). The Dragonriders, looking for a better effort from their qb next week ( Delhomme) were led by Phily's offense with 36 pts.
Pats' Pride 168
Iron Man 163
Closest matchup of the week had Pats' Pride squeaking out a late victory. Cory's team was led by wr Reggie Wayne with 54 pts while Walter's team was looking for the defense to lead the way ( Pitt def scoring 32 pts).
Bam's Punishers 189
Gridiron Gal 130
Joe Behm was led by Brees with the afformentioned 78 pts while Laurie's team was headed by Atlanta's offense with 29 pts.
The Belugas 263
Land Sharks 153
A matchup of the league's only natural enemies ( in the water that is) ended with the Belugas destroying the Land Sharks in quick fashion. Romo (67pts) and A. Peterson (76pts) were too much for the jointly owned Land Shark franchise. Tyler and Judianne's team were led by P. Manning with 37 pts.

Each team plays everyone in their division twice as well as everyone else once. The three division winners as well as the wild card play in week 15. The Championship Game is week 16. Playoffs are decided by total wins and then total points scored.

Credits left: 20,935 ( you could put a down payment on a Cape Cod mansion with this)
I'll pick the O.C. in this division but Bob and Walter could be tough to deal with ( sorry Mark).
I guess I'll go with the O.C. and Pat's Pride in the championship with the O.C. winning back his trophy and tie. Whatever happens I hope we all can spend some time watching games together and enjoy the season!!!
