Week 13's highlights and scores

That's it, it's come to this, the final week of the regular season for our league. Some are securing spots in the playoffs, some are securing their draft order for next year. Any trades or acquisitions for the rest of the year, have to be made this week before the end of Monday night's game ( the last game of week 14). There have not been any transactions made this week. LaDainian Tomlinson was the player of the week with 66 pts. On to the scores and highlights.

Blue Stars 229
Brady's Bunch 140

I believe that's the highest score of the year for the Blue Stars. The rb's Tomlinson ( 66 pts) and Mcgahee ( 46 pts) almost beat the BB's singlehandedly. The BB's playoff push is dealt a final blow.

Cory's team 234
Belugas 169

Cory made a strong move towards the playoffs this week. Tony Gonzalez was his top performer with 38 pts while Hines Ward scored 35 for Bob's Belugas.

Dragonriders 195
Gruesome Goroos 178

The Dragonriders just keep rolling towards the playoffs with T. O. scoring 48 pts for them. The Goroos were led by Dal off with 47 pts.

Gridiron Gal 162
Orange Crush 102

Tony Romo continues to lead this team with a terrific season ( 55 pts) . Steven Jackson led the O. C. with a game Dan expected from him every week ( 44 pts).

Week 13 Standings

Goroos

Gridiron Gal
10 - 3
2474 total pts

Cory's team
6 - 7

Brady's Bunch
5 - 8
1914 total pts

Week 14 Schedule

Blue Stars vs Dragonriders
Belugas vs Gridiron Gal
Gruesome Goroos vs Brady's Bunch
Orange Crush vs Cory's team

As you can see by the schedule, Cory has an excellent chance of making the playoffs with my team having an outside shot at best of joining the party. So our probable playoff matchups are Dragonriders vs Cory and Gridiron Gal vs Blue Stars. We'll all have to wait and see. Enjoy the coming weekend everyone.

Last team to draft is gonna be the top seed in the playoffs. that shows you just how unpredictable this fantasy football really is. Looks like I'm gonna have my work cut out for me against cory in my first round match-up in 2 weeks. I gave up my first round pick for next year and made quite a few moves. Anything less then getting to the superbowl for me is a failure. GO RIDERS!

I guess I may have ruffled a few feathers with my comment. Mike asked me why nobody writes in the blog and this is why. You're all so anxious to dub someone the next AMW. If anyone misunderstood what I meant in my comment it's your lack of insight. Because, all I was trying to say was how lucky things turned out for me. You want controversy look at this turn of events, The commish of the league(who still had a shot at the playoffs mind you), trades away to the pastor his 3 top guns. Who does that & how can they sleep at night knowing what sandbaggers they've become. You all told me this was a gentlemen's league. I'm not feeling the love here people. With all his new weapons Don's all but secured a superbowl victory, must be nice having the commish in your hip pocket. Like any of us really had a chance if this is the way you run your league. RIDERS OUT!

Ok, someone sounds upset.
let's remain calm. With comments like that one might think your the "next AMW." I've been in a league with the commish for several years now and (I believe) this is the first trade I've ever made with him. Maybe because you're a rookie here that you have never seen trades to set up for next year. that is all this trade was. It was the comish's comment on the weekly blog that promoted my call for a trade not your "anything less than the superbowl for me is a failure" comment. GO BLUE STARS!

First of all, if you're gonna quote someone at least get the wording right. Because one word may make all the difference in the world. I said, "Anything less then GETTING to the superbowl for me is a failure." Perhaps this is the root of the problem in the first place, you the veteran misunderstood me the lowly rookie. If I were interested strictly in winning this league, I also would have made some last minute trades to sure up any weak positions I might have. By the way I did the math and it appears that the Blue Stars lost to the Dragonriders anyway. Don you're right we should all calm down, after all this is just fantasy football. I would like to publicly apoligize to MIKE & DON for my earlier comments. Mike did a great job all year with this and took alot of time from his family I'm sure. Don hosted and provided food and drinks for everyone at draft night and has always been a good friend to me. I would rather lose every game all year long then to lose either of you as a friend. A much humbler, Riders out!
